Baker’s Hole Bugger
Big ugly bugs work great in some situations and so this fits the bill nicely. Thanks to Whiskey Creek Fly Fishing for the write-up on this fly, named after the Baker’s Hole Campground. The fly appears in the Blue Ribbon Flies book called Fly Patterns of Yellowstone, Volume 2. I should probably pick it up as they have some great patterns they put out every year. I’ve done some experimenting with two-toned tail buggers in the past but this looks much nicer than anything born from my own vise. Perhaps I can rework a Nitro Bugger in today.
