Leroy Hyatt – Zug Bug

Here is a classic clip from Fly Tying The Angler’s Art with Leroy Hyatt the late Dave Engerbretson. The Zug bug is a quick and simple nymph using another of my favourite materials, peacock herl. It’s a perfect choice for small lakes and ponds and I’ve used it in the past with some pretty good success. Leroy will be at the WCFFE in January in Calgary doing some demos and I can’t wait to see him tie a few flies. When I first started tying, I picked up a lot of tips from him and Dave.
