If you have had a chance to read through Barr flies by John Barr you’ll know that it includes some stellar flies including the famous Copper John and the Barr Emerger. The fly is a meaty offering tied up with a Matuka style wing and some sparkle underneath. It is a great fly for targeting browns and Lake trout I’m told.
