I got a reminder from the Streamer List last night about these 2 birthdays. Who knew that 2 important fly guys would share a birthday. In their honor, we’ll share a couple patterns for the occasion.
Lew Oatman, dean of ‘exact imitation’ streamers, was delivered by his father, Dr. Lewis R. Oatman, on this day in 1903. Ray Bergman, author of the iconic book ‘Trout’ was born John Raymond Bergman on July 15, 1891.
